Our wedding fair checklist

Congratulations! You’re getting hitched! Feeling a little overwhelmed with wedding planning mode? Don’t worry, we have the perfect opportunity for you to tick off a lot of that to do list! Wedding fairs are such a great way of meeting suppliers and getting ideas for your special day, it makes it so much easier to visualise what you want your day to look like.

Here are our tips to help you get the most out of the wedding fair!

  • Invite your bridal party, fiancé or parents to come with you to the fair. It’s a good idea to bring your bridesmaids so they can help you with making decisions and to sort out elements that they are involved in too like choosing their outfits, booking in make-up and hair trials, and tasting food and drinks together.

  • Have your date and a rough number of guests planned – these are two thing suppliers will want to know straight up to see if they are available and able to accommodate your numbers.

  • Gather all your ideas together, have your Pinterest board ready to show, make a checklist, whatever is your vibe to help show the suppliers what you have in mind for your day and so you don’t forget anything important.

  • Set up a separate email address! This is super helpful so all your wedding planning and communication with suppliers is all in one spot, it’s easy to navigate through and important information won’t get lost in between your work or private emails.

  • There will be a lot of suppliers in one space for you to remember, grab any business cards, promotional gear or even ask if its ok to take a photo of their stall so you can refer to It when it comes to following up, even find their socials and like their page straight away.

  • Be open to having a chat, each supplier will be so excited to meet you and hear your ideas, don’t be afraid to say hello, the more you open conversation the easier it will be for them to decide if their product is perfect for you!

  • Try any samples on the day, food and drink suppliers will often have items for you to try or purchase. Tasting the product is an awesome opportunity to know exactly what your guests would be experiencing on your wedding day.

  • Listen to the music, DJ’s and bands will often be playing music throughout the day as they too are promoting their service to you, head over and have a chat in between performances.

After you’ve attended the fair and you have a clearer idea of what you want on your wedding day, read over any promotional brochures you grabbed on the day, check their socials and websites, emails and get ready to contact those suppliers and book them in! (if you didn’t do that already at the fair)

We hope this checklist helps you make the most of our Barossa Wedding Fair in November!
