Maggie’s top 3 tips for your Barossa Valley Wedding
- Book your venue first, then the celebrant and then your transport. The other things will fall into place after, but your venue can only host one wedding a weekend, your celebrant can only do one wedding a day and the transport is usually only booked for one wedding too and books out fast!
- Please pay a professional to make your cake! I have seen some shockers…. I have placed florals onto a cake before that a “friend made” and the flowers went straight in… it was raw!!! I also have chef friends that work so hard to make your wedding menu special and full of amazing local produce for your guests to enjoy. Then to have the guests get to dessert and the cake lets the whole experience down but being too dry or over iced… so please, please pay the money for a professional to bake your cake!!
- Make sure you do the rehearsal within the week of the wedding. This ensures that it is fresh in everyone’s mind about how the ceremony will unfold. There is nothing worse than an awkward-looking bridesmaid not knowing when to start walking down the aisle to a certain part of the song, leaving you (the bride) rushing up the aisle before the song ends or hits the right part of the song for the video!
