Barossa boho hen’s day picnic photoshoot
Maggie and I have had this vision for quite some time and figured the middle of Winter was the perfect time to host a boho inspired photoshoot – while some of our suppliers had down time in wedding off-season. The weather gods gave us an afternoon full of Winter sunshine in the wonderful garden at Tanunda House, which looks incredible all year round and whilst we were freezing in our boho get up’s it was totally worth it!
The day was an amazing collaboration of some of our BVW suppliers and we hope you enjoy the hens day inspo. We wanted to share with you a fresh idea that is more relaxing and steers away from cheeky straws (iykyk) and awkward games, if that’s not your vibe.
So, imagine this… You book the girl squad a weekend away into the luxurious Tanunda House, complete with cinema room, heated swimming pool & outdoor bbq area to lounge together.
Tanunda House is the perfect property for this style of set up, it feels private and intimate and still very much like you’re on holiday right in the heart of Tanunda.
The next step is to engage with Barossa Boho to bring all the fun into the backyard for your classy hens party, who use Really useful pots for their crockery, which is handmade here in the Barossa Valley. Lindsay’s style and flair really shine through with her set up, Her Salty Aura rugs and boho cushions really bring the vibe and complete the relaxed, atmosphere you’re after – and the best part is Lindsay does all the set and pack down for you!!
The tasty Rose was supplied by Saltram Wines, which pairs perfectly to this style of food offering. Pop into Saltram Wines Cellar Door for a structured wine tasting – We can confirm their Rose and bubbles are delish!
Barossa Baskets brought the goods with their grazing platters and catered for all the dietaries. With a combination of Vegans, Vegetarians and Gluten Free gals, they had us covered!
And of course, our biggest shout out must go to Rebekah Bianca Photography who captured this day perfectly. She has a way of reading the crowd and made the girls feel relaxed and confident which one of the main things you need to look for when choosing your photographer, for capturing your special moments.
